SHINE is made by possible by the generous support of our partners, comprising private companies, Fortune 100 corporations, academic institutions, nonprofits, public agencies, and others.  Not only do our partners commit financial resources to support SHINE programs, they are also actively driving better workforce development in Virginia by spreading the news on SHINE, advising on program design and strategy, and donating time and effort to help SHINE’s programs succeed. 

 

In addition, each SHINE partner has pledged to do their part to provide sustainable pathways to solar careers.  Prior to joining SHINE, partners (those that recruit solar installers) review and sign the SHINE Employer Pledge, agreeing to make a best effort to:

  • Invest Time to Review and Incorporate HR Practices that Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Interview SHINE graduates

  • Provide a wage premium to SHINE graduates

  • Share HR best practices with the SHINE community

The SHINE Employer Pledge is one of the first of its kind in the solar industry and is an integral part of SHINE’s commitment to maximizing economic and social benefits of solar projects for Virginians.

Board of Directors

Consideration for the Board requires a minimum $10,000 contribution to SHINE
