Tuition
Anyone interested in becoming a solar installer is encouraged to learn more about the SHINE Solar Ready 101 Program. We welcome people of all backgrounds to apply. The only pre-requisite to signing up for the program is a high school (or equivalent) diploma.
The total cost of tuition for the SHINE Solar Ready 101 Program is $1,296. For qualified Virginians, there are tuition reimbursement programs available that reduce the cost to $564. If students are unable to cover the $564, there are additional scholarships available as well. Scholarships are based on financial need.
Registration
The SHINE Solar Ready 101 Program is currently being offered at Southside Virginia Community College, one of SHINE's founding board members. Interested students should visit www.southside.edu/solar to find out program dates and acquire an application packet.
